Creating a cyberpunk 2077 like city in blender Pt2 (Texturing / UV Map)

Setting up texture nodes... (using super texture plugin)

Let's compare two images:

(Texture without ST plugin)

(Texture with ST plugin)

What I've learned with this (so far):

  • We can win a lot of time by using a plugin that automatically creates a normal map, displacement, bump.. etc. Normally it would be necessary to have a 3rd party tool to create these maps using a base texture, then, importing to blender (I mean, to create a material... link to the textures created). That's a lot of work.
  • I bet that some gamehouses have their own tools, similar to this (super texture) so they can win time.
  • If a person can make a lot of modifications in textures by using nodes (such as in blender) then,  can make the same in any tool, such as unreal engine (which uses nodes), armor paint, etc.. also that means that the person can learn to do anything, the principles are the same.

Armorpaint - Node-based painting

UV mapping..

To be continued..
